Impact of Three-phase Pseudo-measurement Generation from Smart Meter Data on Distribution Grid State Estimation

چکیده
This paper addresses the modelling of unknown power values, so-called pseudo-measurements, for the use in distribution grid state estimation. Historical load data from smart metering devices in private households and photovoltaic systems is analysed regarding phase distribution, reactive power and correlation between different generators. Based on this, methods for pseudomeasurement generation are developed and tested in combination with state estimation. Depending on the active power a corresponding value for the power factor has been found that enables the modelling of reactive power by using lookup tables. The high correlation in relative PV feed-in can be represented by assumption of equal standardized power. The developed methods are validated by simulation on the basis of an electric distribution grid. It is shown that phase distribution in pseudo-measurements is of minor importance, while the developed methods improve the quality of the distribution system state estimation result.

Linear Three-phase State Estimation for Lv Grids Using Pseudo Measurements Based on Approximate Power Distributions
The large increase of distributed generation (DG) of photovoltaic (PV) systems in low voltage (LV) grids results in increasing voltage magnitudes and line loadings. Due to a lack of network observability in present LV grids, distribution system operators (DSOs) cannot detect and respond to any limit violations. Even with data collected by the expected rollout of smart meters, full network obser...

The integration of distributed generation causes an increase of the voltage magnitude in low voltage grids. In addition to classical grid expansion distribution system operators have various options at their hands to reduce the voltage rise, e.g. by installing distribution transformers with on-load tap changers or voltage regulators. But for efficient control the network operators need informat...

Due to limited metering infrastructure, distribution grids are currently challenged by observability issues. On the other hand, smart meter data, including local voltage magnitudes and power injections, are communicated to the utility operator from grid buses with renewable generation and demand-response programs. This work employs grid data from metered buses towards inferring the underlying g...
متن کاملState estimation of medium voltage distribution networks using smart meter measurements
Distributed generation and low carbon loads are already leading to some restrictions in the operation of distribution networks and higher penetrations of e.g. PV generation, heat pumps and electric vehicles will exacerbate such problems. In order to manage the distribution network effectively in this new situation, increased real-time monitoring and control will become necessary. In the future,...
